Joint Ukrainian-Polish Training
The project “Stimulation of the Tourism Development in the Carpathian Region by Tourist’s Service and Security Improvement” financed by European Union in the frames of Cross-border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2007-2013 is under realization since January 1st, 2013
According to the Project Action Plan in the period of June, 24th – July, 3rd the Project Leader Partner Mountains Guides Association “ROVIN”in cooperation with project partners:
- Lviv Oblast Control-Rescue Service of the Ukrainian Tourist and Sport Union
- Polish Tourist Association of Country Lovers, Department named after M. Orlowich in Przemysl, (Polskie Towarzystwo Turystyczno-Krajoznawcze Oddzial im Dr M. Orlowicza)
- Association “Lviv Tourist Board”
- Bieszczadzka Mountains Voluntary Rescue Group (Górskie Ochotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe Grupa Bieszczadzka)
have organized and realized the Training Course for rescuers - the workers of search-rescue points and mountains guides from the regions of Ukraine and Poland.
The number of participants was 36 people from the cross border region - citizens from Ukraine and Poland. Their practical skills the training course participants have piloted / introduced during the hiking tours: m. Khomyak (1546 m), m. Synyak (1666 m), m. Goverla (2061 m) and Lake Nesamovyte, m. Parashka (1268 m) and Gurkalo Waterfall.
On the 28.06.2013 - the Constitution Day of Ukraine – was held the Ukrainian - Polish mountain climbing on Goverla Mountain. The training course participants have ceremonially raised flags of Ukraine, Poland, the EU and the flag of MGA "Rovin".
